Decisions

Since 1 January 2008 section 1296(1B) of the Corporations Act has given the Board the power to take such steps as it considers reasonable and appropriate to publicise its decisions to exercise its powers under section 1292 and the reasons for its decisions. Since that date, the Board has usually published its reasons for decisions.

Notices of the Board’s decisions are also published in the Business Gazette as required by section 1296 of the Corporations Act 2001. Copies of Notices of Decision published in the Gazette are also published in the Board’s Annual Report each year.

Below are all decisions in relation to auditors, which have been published by the Board since 2008. These are followed by decisions published by the Board when it was known as the Companies Auditors and Liquidators Disciplinary Board (CALDB) in respect of liquidators, prior to 2017.
